The Acaia Lunar coffee scale takes the breakthrough design and technology of the Acaia line and condenses it into a device that’s small enough to fit onto the drip tray of an espresso machine. The Acaia Portafilter Weighing plate is made from the aluminium magnetised plate in a black matte finish designed to hold a single portafilter, or two standard cappuccino cups side-by-side on the acaia lunar scale.
The Lunar scales take the guessing out of espresso and enable you to take control to achieve the flavour and body you enjoy with a 20 millisecond response time, an embedded stopwatch, and accuracy down to a tenth of a gram (though weighing by ounces is also an option).
Unlike any other scales, the device is Bluetooth enabled to give you insights into your brewing habits and provide recipes for you to experiment with via the Acaia app collection. Charging the scale is painless with the rechargeable battery.

International Shipping Terms and Conditions – Customs & Duty Charges
International orders may be subject to local charges. Any customs or import duties and associated fees are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Alternative Brewing cannot be held responsible for any additional charges on your order, nor can we accept a return of the order in this case. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so please contact your local customs office for further information. If you refuse to pay these charges your parcel may be abandoned, and Alternative Brewing will not be held responsible for any loss of funds as a result of this occurrence. We cannot mark International orders as a gift in order to bypass or reduce any customs fees.

By selecting Alternative Brewing's Freight Protection you will receive a priority customer support and priority replacement of your product if it arrives damaged. You will be able to add this option to your order in checkout.
What does Freight Protection offer?
1 - Priority Customer Service – as soon as you contact our team to submit your Freight Protection claim, you will be placed into a priority queue to ensure your claim is processed as quickly as possible.
2 - Advanced Shipping – to minimise downtime without your product, once we have assessed your claim we will ship a replacement to you before we have received the damaged goods back.
Making a Freight Protection Claim
- To assess your claim, you will be required to provide photo and/or video evidence of the damaged product.
- All Freight Protections claims must be made within 3 business days of receiving your product.
- Freight Protection does not apply to damaged packaging and only applies to the product itself.

Great scales
These scales are amazing! Probably a bit over the top for our home coffee set up, but it’s nice been able to easily and accurately measure coffee and brew amounts and definitely makes it easy to brew consistently good coffee.
Very versatile
Works well with all the filters I have, especially Chemex papers (my personal preference). One thing that gives it a slight edge is built in there are air travel vents that will prevent any airlock that can happen in a Chemex. This is not something that should be overlooked.
Best in class scales
Excellent scales with great adjustability and customisation. The only downside is the expensive initial cost but worth it.
Best espresso scale
Only downside is not having an USB-C port. Overall I'm loving it.
