PID Group Temperature Control

The Ascaso Steel Duo PID group temperature control system allows you to adjust the boiler temperature degree by degree, control the steam, pre-program the pre-infusion time, set the coffee dose timer, and enable the chronometer function and standby mode. Monitor the changes you make on the minimalist digital reader flanked by the sleek steel button controls.
Easy, external adjustments
Complimenting the digital controls of the Ascaso Steel Duo PID are physical toggle switches for power, volumetric dosing, and water and steam control. Removing the machine’s panels to adjust the pressure is also a thing of the past since the overpressure valve can be manipulated from the exterior using a flathead screwdriver.

2 - Advanced Shipping – to minimise downtime without your product, once we have assessed your claim we will ship a replacement to you before we have received the damaged goods back.
Making a Freight Protection Claim
- To assess your claim, you will be required to provide photo and/or video evidence of the damaged product.
- All Freight Protections claims must be made within 3 business days of receiving your product.
- Freight Protection does not apply to damaged packaging and only applies to the product itself.

Easy to set up. Still working through the variables to get that perfect cup Solid, heats up quickly, I have no problem with the steam power Quick to increase water temp for a cup of tea Excellent build quality

Love the thermoblock design; I can turn it on, make and drink a coffee faster than a boiler can find temp. I know it's not traditional, but it also means you're drinking fresh water instead of whatever was left in the boiler, and less prone to scale. Portafilter is heavy (just shy of 600g) and will just accommodate a larger basket (using a Pullman 19-22). Hot water and steam are pretty low flow, but they do what they need to do, and you can use them while pulling your shot

A very happy customer
After so much research and deliberation, I couldn’t be happier with my new Ascaso Steel Duo PID. Ticks all the boxes and more - The Thermoblock means it’s heated up and ready to go in minutes when I get up in the morning ; adjustable OPV and pre-infusion settings have been great to play around with and easy to adjust. Despite coming with a range of baskets they’re all on the small side (14gm’s the biggest & Included tamper also seems a couple of mm too small for the included basket, easy to upgrade. I initially had trouble with the volumetric timer, which sets itself when you hold the coffee switch down, a small annoyance, but after a few days got used to this feature. The service and communication from Alternative Brewing was amazing - highly recommend!

58mm, but not a traditional E61. Some E61 accessories may be compatible, but may not fit perfectly due to small differences in dimensions.
