Just the best for any "prosumer"
If you, like me, researched all the grinders out there and tried to determine which one gives you the best quality for the best price, you will have likely come across this one. Well, I love the grinder. I use it mainly for espressos, but enjoy the occasional pour over as well, and this grinder is just a joy to use. It's simple. Its fast. Mine even came with a little spray bottle to spray the beans before pouring them in. Just two quick sprays and the bean retention is basically zero! (Whithout spraying, I loose about 0.5 grams of coffee!) It feels very solid and I'm hoping this is the last grinder I ever buy.

Gen 2 is Perfection!
I finally bought the DF64 Gen 2 single dose grinder. I think I had watched every Youtube video about this grinder. I was just waiting for my tax return to make the purchase. Straight out of the box, it was solid and easy to assemble. I had it up and running in no time. Every dose is perfection. The fact is that my family likes different beans. This grinder is perfect to accommodate this. I would definitely recommend this grinder to anyone. Also, Alternative Brewing is a pleasure to deal with. Shipping is always so fast.

Pretty good, but
Not sure about zero retention but it seems to be a very good grinder. Also not sure if the plasma generator does anything except make it harder to clean. Worth noting that slowing the bean flow into the grinder changes the grind and flavour. I'm pretty happy with it so far

The DF64 Gen 2 coffee grinder has a fairly high-speed grinding experience at 1400 RPM. You can grind a double espresso dose in around 7-11 seconds.
You sure can! This grinder is versatile enough to handle various grind sizes, so it's not just limited to espresso.
Most DF64 grinders are designed to come from the factory with burrs that are well aligned. If the flavour profile of your coffee meets your expectations, you will not need to adjust. However, if you want to go all-in for a more tailored experience, the marker test is our recommendation.
