Fellow Atmos Coffee Canisters will keep your roasted coffee stored fresh for longer and airtight. It achieves this by removing oxygen from the Atmos Coffee Canister. Protect your fresh coffee beans from moisture and odours whilst delaying the staling and ageing in the process. You don’t need to place them in the fridge again.
Roasted coffee beans effectively have a shelf life once roasted. Through the staling process, you begin to notice the beans will first lose their natural fresh aromas followed closely by the sweetness and vibrancy of flavours associated with fresh beans.
The way in which the Fellow Atmos Coffee Canisters are kept airtight is through a unique integrated pump in the lid. This acts as a vacuum when you twist the lid on the left and right. You’ll notice the vacuum light indicator turns green and gets pulled down once you achieve a solid vacuum seal in the container. When you’re ready to remove and use your beans, simply press down the airtight release button and hear the air get sucked back into the container.
The Silicone airtight seal stops anything from getting inside the container once sealed. You can add an extra layer of UV protection by upgrading from the clear glass canister to a stainless steel – matte black or matte white version that will effectively increase the life of your beans by 50%.

Fellow Atmos Coffee Vacuum Canister
I purchased one of these to see how longer term storage as I had noticed a definite decline in quality if coffee beans where kept a month or two. Most roasters sell in 250g or 1kg bags so often it takes a while to get through it. I am super pleased with the results and beans that have been stored for a month seem to keep their quality.

FAQ
The size of the Atmos you need depends on the amount of coffee you buy. For standard 250g bags of coffee, we recommend the 0.7L size. The largest 1.2L size is great for storing up to 450g of coffee beans. For those who go through coffee quickly or just want to store a small amount, the 0.4L size holds around 170g.
While the Atmos is perfect for whole beans, we do not recommend using it for pre-ground coffee or any fine substances like flour. The fine particles can clog the vacuum lid and prevent a proper seal, which means your coffee won't stay as fresh. For the best performance and to keep your beans fresh, use the Atmos for whole beans only.
Both the glass and stainless steel versions of the Atmos create the same powerful vacuum seal to keep your coffee fresh. The main difference is that the stainless steel models are more durable and completely block light, which is one of the key factors that can make coffee go stale. The glass version is great for displaying your beans but should be stored in a dark cupboard to protect them from light.
To clean your Atmos, we recommend hand-washing the canister and lid with a soft sponge and mild soap. It is important to note that the Atmos is not dishwasher safe. You should also be careful to not get the lid wet when cleaning, as liquid can damage the vacuum mechanism. The gasket and metal filter on the lid can be removed for a more thorough cleaning.
Yes, the Atmos is designed to significantly extend the life of your coffee beans. By using the integrated vacuum pump to remove air, it drastically slows down the oxidation process, which is the main cause of staling. While nothing can stop coffee from aging completely, the Atmos can help preserve the flavor and aroma of your beans for up to 50% longer than a standard airtight container.

The rubber seal in the lid of my Atmos Fellow has a nick in it so the vaccuum function is now unreliable. Do you have a replacement seal that can be fitted?

Does this product allow 'de-gasing' of freshly roasted beans (ie 1-way valve) or is it simply create a vacuum with nothing g in or out?
