Black Varia Aura Electric Spouted Kettle- love it!
I read a lot of reviews on this kettle before purchasing. Some reviews said it was just a good size for two people but it’s definitely big enough for 4-6 cups. It’s so easy to use and no writing in the base that can wear off like my last kettle. Easy to keep clean and super quiet. It might take a little longer to boil but it’s not an issue for us. I’ve also noticed hardly any steam comes out and I think that’s because there’s a little steam hole in the lid so it’s very gradual as opposed to heaps of steam right at the end. I wish the cord wasn’t so long as I try to hide it behind the kettle but that’s my only small issue if I had to be picky. I would highly recommend this kettle. Brilliant kettle, with many handy features, looks amazing on the kitchen bench also. Alternative Brewing Team were fantastic with assisting me when the kettle had an issue, and arranged for a replacement kettle to be sent quickly.

Bought Another
My wish was granted. Seeking a non reactive aesthetically pleasing and highly functional kettle as a replacement. The Aura came up on my search and I ordered it in white so it blends into my tile background. Oh my I love it so much. The pouring spout is perfect, love knowing the water temp inside and it’s so suave. I have another space that needed a kettle and of course I bought another, this time in black. Considering the amount of use and not going out and buying hot drinks this has paid for itself many times over.

Quality All Round
Did some research to find a quality designed kettle that eliminates the use of plastics and this ticked all the boxes. Tried to be smart killing two birds with one stone where it can be used as a pour over kettle as well. Not quite what I was anticipating as it was difficult to control the flow speed. If you’re not fussed with that then it still offers a decent pour for your coffee. Loved the simplicity of the dial to control the temperature as well.

Time will tell
I was expecting it to be a little bigger. It is ok for 1-2 people max. It is not huge, but it is also not too small. It looks very stylish and streamlined and matches with my white appliances. I like the simplicity of it. The body of the kettle gets really hot, so do not touch the body or the pout straight after boiling, be careful around young kids. My old cheap kettle did not get hot like this. The handle seems to be cool though. Do not pour extremely fast, or the top cover may possibly come off. For me personally, I do not need all those different temperature functions, I just want it to boil the bloody water at 100 degrees, thats it. I wish they had a simple version of this that is cheaper without all those extra functions. The price really, really hurt me, but...read more

These units are fast and powerful! It will heat 500ml of water in under 3 minutes.
In manual mode, it sure does! The Aura will hold temperature for up to 90 minutes or until the body is removed from the base.
Automatic to heat your water straight to boiling. Manual to set your precise temperature and hold. Reserve mode to schedule when you want your kettle to start heating water.

How is the Varia kettle spout attached to the kettle ? It looks like a seperate part. If it is a seperate part it maybe welded or soldered. Is the weld or solder lead free?

I recently bought the Varia Aura Electric Kettle and I noticed that whenever I turn it on from the main power switch, the memory temperature is set to 40degrees C instead of my previous setting of 80degeees. Is this something that can be fixed?

The kettle has no port to see the water level.
that's fine when it's cold, but when it is hot I would need to know whether it has enough water in it for the purpose I intend. That means I need to open the lid, which will be hot. I assume the lid requires some effort to extracted, otherwise it would fall off when you were pouring. this car is a risk of me burning my fingers to check the water level. Question: Is the lid held on magnetically, or by a mechanical jam-it seal? Is the lid hot when the kettle has boiled? Does the lid have a synthetic or rubber rim where it meets the kettle for sealing purposes? What is that made off?
