Make your own cold brew coffee at home with the simple Hario Shizuku Slow Drip Brewer. This cold brewer is easy to use, durable, and brews killer iced coffee with low acidity and bitterness, but a lot of flavor.
The device is made of four main parts: (1) the upper water chamber, (2) the dripper, (3) the coffee holder and filter, and (4) the carafe. Together, they can produce up to 600 ml of rich cold brew concentrate that can be made into iced coffee.
This cold brewer is particularly easy to use, thanks to the fast but steady dripping piece. While most slow drip brewers require you to readjust the dripping rate over a long period of time, this brewer always drips at its perfect speed - no adjustments necessary.
Basic Brewing Instructions:
- Grind 70g of coffee at a medium-fine setting, pour into filter, and top with a paper filter.
- Add 750 ml of cold, clean water to the upper chamber.
- Allow the water to drip for 1-2 hours.
- Store the carafe in the fridge and clean up the remaining parts.
The glass parts are made with Hario’s signature glass. The remaining pieces are built from silicone, stainless steel, and polypropylene, so you can be confident in the brewer’s durability.

We strive to ensure that your delivery arrives safely to you, but we understand that sometimes accidents happen outside of our control.
By selecting Alternative Brewing's Freight Protection you will receive a priority customer support and priority replacement of your product if it arrives damaged. You will be able to add this option to your order in checkout.
What does Freight Protection offer?
1 - Priority Customer Service – as soon as you contact our team to submit your Freight Protection claim, you will be placed into a priority queue to ensure your claim is processed as quickly as possible.
2 - Advanced Shipping – to minimise downtime without your product, once we have assessed your claim we will ship a replacement to you before we have received the damaged goods back.
Making a Freight Protection Claim
- To assess your claim, you will be required to provide photo and/or video evidence of the damaged product.
- All Freight Protections claims must be made within 3 business days of receiving your product.
- Freight Protection does not apply to damaged packaging and only applies to the product itself.
Pre Order Shipping
Orders that contain pre-order items will be placed on hold until all products are in stock and ready to ship together. This helps ensure your order arrives complete in a single delivery.
If you would like the in-stock items from your order shipped sooner, we can arrange a split shipment upon request. Please note that an additional delivery fee will apply for this service.

Super efficient
This was pretty easy to use. Like other reviews online, it did take 2-3 goes to work out the right grind size for the nice a slow flow which resulted in about 100grams of wasted beans. I’ve found the only way get the time at an hour or over is to grind much finer than recommended. But it doesn’t bother me. But once you get the hang of it, it works like clockwork. Saving me heaps of cash from needing to go to the local coffee shop.

Ah, it is good to be back functional in the drip filter stakes. The new **** a replacemnt for a much loved old one. The pruchase necessary because my ham fists managed to lose the centre stopper to the filter insert. Now my world has returned to balance

Great coffee from a simple maker
We are very happy with the coffee drip maker, easy to use followed the video with clear instructions. Our only bad point on it is we wished it made more coffee in a brew. We may have to look at something that creates more coffee in a use

Im keen on this cold brew dripper. I watched your demo video and it mentions having the perfect grind is essential to this dripper working well. Can I ask which grinder is best quoted to make the fine-medium grind required for this?
