Add fresh beans to your order

The Niche Zero Coffee Grinder approaches grinding your coffee as fresh as possible in an entirely new way. You’ll brew better tasting coffee by controlling elements that are often absent in other coffee grinders workflow.

The Niche Zero uses a direct grind pathway for dosing your coffee which achieves zero grind retention of coffee caught in the chute. As you only grind exactly the amount of beans you need each time, you have the freedom to store your beans in an airtight container and maximise the freshness for each delicious cup of coffee.

Along with that the Niche Zero has the full range of grind settings available, using a stepless adjustment that can grind well for espresso and moka pot coffee which requires very fine grinds; but can equally grind quality particle sizes for drip coffee and other filter-style coffee brewing methods.

Using an optimised burr speed the Niche produces a low grind particle size distribution and is a quiet grinder that operates at 72dB. With uncomplicated controls using the Niche Zero it will be a pleasure grinding your tasty coffee rather than a messy loud chore. Not to forget the overall look and design of the Niche is the perfect fit for any modern home coffee setup.

Ideal for: Home Espresso and Filter Coffee Connoisseurs

FAQ

Yes it does, and quite well. Using large Mazzer 63mm Conical Burrs, made for commercial cafes.
Yes it does. The unique stepless adjustment, means you can grind to whatever grind size you require.
Yes, you can try spritzing the beans with some water, known as RDT. The Ross Droplet Technique (RDT) is a method used in espresso preparation where a small amount of water is applied to coffee beans before grinding. This technique helps reduce static electricity and clumping of the coffee grounds, resulting in a more consistent grind size and improved extraction during brewing.
The Niche Zero Grinder can grind as fine as 30µ and as coarse as 1200µ, and makes a great All-round Grinder.
For optimal grinder maintenance, if you frequently use dark roast beans, which tend to be oilier, it's advisable to clean your grinder more often, ideally once a month. However, if you prefer light roasts or use your grinder infrequently, you can likely extend the cleaning interval to once every three months. Adjusting the cleaning frequency based on the type of beans you use and your usage pattern helps maintain optimal grinder performance.
Here's a guide to cleaning and calibrating the Niche Zero grinder: Begin by gathering the necessary tools: a specific screwdriver for the burr bolt and a cleaning brush. Give the funnel a few taps to remove any loose coffee. Carefully unscrew the burr bolt, ensuring the motor stops turning with a quick flick. Continue until it is completely unscrewed. Unscrew the silver collar, requiring several turns, to access the burr set. Use the brush to remove any loose coffee grinds from the top of the burrs. Remove the top burr, followed by the lower burr. Pull upwards to remove the sweeper arm and access any stale coffee caught in the grinder. Clean any remaining coffee with a brush and/or toothpick if necessary. Thoroughly clean the top burr. Reassemble the sweeper arm, bottom burr, and align the burr and shaft centers before replacing the pin. Ensure the burr moves freely before tightening the burr nut. If needed, place a pencil gently in the disk opening to prevent movement while tightening. Finally, give a final push on the top burr to confirm it moves freely. Following these steps will help keep your Niche Zero grinder in top condition.
