International Shipping Terms and Conditions – Customs & Duty Charges
International orders may be subject to local charges. Any customs or import duties and associated fees are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. Alternative Brewing cannot be held responsible for any additional charges on your order, nor can we accept a return of the order in this case. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so please contact your local customs office for further information. If you refuse to pay these charges your parcel may be abandoned, and Alternative Brewing will not be held responsible for any loss of funds as a result of this occurrence. We cannot mark International orders as a gift in order to bypass or reduce any customs fees.

What does Freight Protection offer?
1 - Priority Customer Service – as soon as you contact our team to submit your Freight Protection claim, you will be placed into a priority queue to ensure your claim is processed as quickly as possible.
2 - Advanced Shipping – to minimise downtime without your product, once we have assessed your claim we will ship a replacement to you before we have received the damaged goods back.
Making a Freight Protection Claim
- To assess your claim, you will be required to provide photo and/or video evidence of the damaged product.
- All Freight Protections claims must be made within 3 business days of receiving your product.
- Freight Protection does not apply to damaged packaging and only applies to the product itself.

Really does work!!
Expensive bit of gear, but works superbly well. I was genuinely surprised how well it works. And, no mess! So much better than the sticks with wire poking out! Breaks clumps, distributes evenly and sets you up for nice even tamp, followed by nice even extraction.
Solid Distributor Tool
I paired the purchase of this needle distributor with the 18g precision basket also from Normcore. These were my first accessory upgrades for my Express Pro and I am really happy with them both. This distributor in particular has such a great weight and feel to it which are great indicators of quality materials and manufacturing processes. In terms of its functionality, it visibly looks like it does a good job of distributing the grounds although it does add a fair bit of volume to them which causes it to protrude above the top of the basket (maybe user error but I like to make the spinny thing spin!). The needles themselves are a little flimsy so you do have to be careful when using so that you don’t break them. Thats inherent in what it is so not a major knock on the product. Normcore Needle Distributor Tool - Does it really help?
A recent World Barista Champion swears that needle distribution contributed to him winning his title, albeit his was a rather special version. Good enough for me to give the concept a go. The Normcore Needle Distributor Tool looked like the easiest to use, despite its rather high cost. Only having used it a few times now, it is difficult to be sure as to its effectiveness, but like all things new there is a learning curve involved. It is prone to damage by virtue of its design, and this concerns me a little. However, the concept behind it seems sound and I will pursue using it. So far, the shots are good, but the recently acquired puck shower screen is also having its effect as well. This I know to be effective by itself. Excellent Normcore / 58mm Needle Style Distributor Tool V2 - Exceptional Quality
Let's start with the positive aspects. The Normcore / 58mm Needle Style Distributor Tool V2 is an exceptional tool that delivers outstanding performance. Its precision-engineered design and 58mm needle style ensure a consistent and even distribution of coffee grounds, resulting in a remarkable improvement in the quality of my espresso shots. The build quality is excellent, with durable materials and a comfortable grip that enhances the overall usability of the tool. While I am highly satisfied with the product, I encountered issues with the postage services used by Alternative Brewing. Unfortunately, the collection process from their location proved to be inconvenient and time-consuming. Opting for local post office delivery would have been a more favorable option as it would have saved me time and effort. This aspect negatively impacted my overall shopping experience, especially considering the premium price I paid for the distributor tool.

We had issues with delivery (courier, not Alternative Brewing Co) but ABC were prompt and helpful with response, then cheerfully refunded when I discovered (when the item did arrive) that I'd ordered the wrong size! Then they sent the correct size rapidly. Finally, it's improved my coffee immensely! Superb!
