Basic Milk Steaming Instructions:
- Fill water ⅓ to ½ of the way up, close the steamer lid, and place on high heat.
- When you hear steam leaking from the release valve, turn the knob to release some of the pressure. Then turn it off.
- Place the wand into your milk and turn on the steamer. Allow the tip of the wand to agitate the surface of the milk for 3-5 seconds, then submerge the want halfway into the milk. Turn the pitcher so that the milk begins to swirl in a circle.
- When the milk reaches 60 degrees Celsius, turn off the steamer and clean the wand.
- Pour your silky milk into your espresso or coffee and enjoy.
Make sure not to fill with water past the handle. If you can do that, the pressure release will keep you safe from dangerous built-up pressure.
Operating Tip; Do not operate the unit at excessive pressures. The safety release valve should not be used as an indication that the unit is ready to steam.

Better than the electric frothing machines
This produces a really nice textured milk for hot drinks. I am not a barista so can’t say I make latte art but I can definitely get the smooth microfoam on top, which no electric or handheld frother can do well. The foam is not airy and light and unusually thick like other frothers, it’s just like they serve in cafes. I use it for hot chocolate too and the foam is sooo creamy and silky, I love it! So definitely a good option if you don’t want to invest in a coffee machine but still want to enjoy a proper hot milk beverage.

Cool little Steamer
Well, 1st impression was the build qualify. I'm very impressed. It's a solid unit & beautifully made. At first I was a bit tentative with it but now it's so easy to use. I use it on a gas hob. It does a brilliant job. Will last a life time! Can't fault it at all. Money well spent. Ordered from N.Z.. Very pleased with the service. 10 out of 10! Cheers

Quality - 10 Service - average / good - there were no hiccups which is when I feel service is generally needed Delivery - good - as stated I bought this so that I am no longer using the microwave to warm my milk for coffee. I’m the only person in the household that uses the steamer so find it to be a bit of an inconvenience if I’m in a rush and have still use the microwave sometimes when short on time. It does what it says it does

Striving for better coffee
Its been a bit of a process to get my head around steaming/frothing. Ive also been working on using the moka pot and bellman steamer in conjunction with each other. Since I've worked on my process and timing, its time to start perfecting the steam. I've got a few pointers from a good friend and im heading in the right direction now and making some real nice coffees. Kids also dont mind a cheeky baby chino or hot choc.
FAQ
The 50SS only has a steam wand to steam and froth milk, while the CX-25P has a steam wand but can also brew espresso shots like a traditional stovetop coffee maker.
When you first starting heating the unit keep the heat on high and open the steam knob fully. When the water boils you will see steam vent through the steam wand. Turn the steam knob closed and turn the heat to medium to continue to build pressure in the unit. IMPORTANT: you will need to keep venting the steam wand to check the pressure build up. Do not let the pressure build too high otherwise the safety release valve will vent. This is not a safe operating pressure.
Fill the unit between ¼ and ½ full for best results. Do not fill past the half way mark.
The unit will create enough pressure to steam more than one jug of milk. Keeping the unit on a heat source while steaming on medium heat setting will also help to maintain heat/pressure in the unit and maximise how much you can steam.
