Product highlights
- The DiFluid OmniFlux Live Roast Colour Tracker is a roast monitoring device that reads Agtron colour directly through your roaster's sight glass.
- Temperature has always been a proxy for roast development, but probe placement and airflow can shift a reading without the roast actually changing.
- A built-in microphone listens for first and second crack independently of the colour reading, adding a second confirmation point to every roast.
The DiFluid OmniFlux Live Roast Colour Tracker is a roast monitoring device that measures colour directly instead of relying on temperature as a stand-in for it. Roasters have used temperature as a proxy for roast development for close to 150 years; OmniFlux tracks the actual Agtron colour change and its rate of change in real time, reading through your roaster's sight glass or drum window as the roast happens.
It calibrates to almost any roaster, in any lighting, with any type of glass and recalibrating later is as simple as running one final colour test. A built-in microphone listens for first and second crack independently of the colour reading, giving you a second, audio-based confirmation point alongside the colour curve and you can set a target colour to be notified the moment a roast reaches it.
Connect to Artisan to track colour alongside temperature, or skip external software entirely and work straight from the device, which stores up to 500 roasts on its own. Two external temperature probe inputs let you log bean and environment temperature alongside colour and the built-in infrared thermometer keeps reading after the beans drop, adding a cooling curve to the record. A full charge runs for about four hours of continuous use.
